Cabinet Cost Estimator for Camarillo and Ventura County

Camarillo Custom Cabinets prices cabinetry by specification, not by the square foot, so this estimator does the same. Pick what you are building and what you want it built from, and the figure moves as you go with the reason it moved. Nothing to fill in, and the number appears as you work.

1What are you building?

Each one is priced on its own unit, and the slider below adapts.

2How big is it?

3Front style

What the doors and drawer fronts are, which decides how much machining and fitting the job carries.

4Species and material

On furniture-grade work this is the single largest line on the quote.

5Finish system

Sprayed and cured flat in the shop either way. The question is what is in the can.

6Anything else?

Each of these is priced as its own line, the way your written estimate will be.

How This Estimator Works

Most cabinet calculators ask for linear feet and multiply. That produces a number with no argument behind it, which is why the first reaction to it is usually that it seems high. This one prices the specification, because on work built to furniture standards the specification is most of the cost.

Every option carries its own multiplier against a baseline of shaker fronts in paint-grade maple with a pigmented conversion varnish. Choose rift-sawn white oak and the figure moves, and the reason it moved appears next to it. By the time you reach the bottom you have seen where the money actually goes, which is the same conversation we would have standing in your kitchen.

The ranges are calibrated against the figures already published on every service page, so the estimator and the pages cannot tell you different things. What it cannot do is see your walls. Field measure settles the rest.

Cabinet Cost Estimator FAQs

How accurate is this cabinet cost estimator?

It is a planning range, not a quote, and it is deliberately published as a band rather than a single figure. A calculator that returns one precise number off six web form answers is making a promise nobody can keep. The ranges come from the same Ventura County figures published on our service pages. What settles a real price is a field measure, because the things that move a quote most, wall condition, what is behind the drywall and how the room is actually used, cannot be typed into a form.

Why does the material change the price so much?

Because on furniture-grade work the material is most of the cost. Walnut costs more per board foot than any other common domestic hardwood and sapwood exclusion lowers the usable yield further. Rift-sawn white oak yields far less per log than plain-sawn. Figured and burl veneer is less stable, lower yield again, and has to be sequence-matched across the whole elevation before a single panel is pressed. The estimator shows each of those moves as you make it rather than burying them in a total.

Why is there a $10,000 minimum?

We build to furniture standards: solid timber dovetailed drawer boxes, dadoed backs, mortised face frames, catalyzed conversion varnish cured flat in the shop and ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 hardware. That specification does not scale down to a single cabinet or a half-day service call. If the estimator puts your project under the minimum it will say so plainly and point you toward the kind of shop that handles that work properly.

Does the estimate include countertops, appliances or electrical?

No. The figure covers cabinetry: the boxes, fronts, finish, hardware and installation. Countertops are quoted by the fabricator, and electrical, plumbing, gas, flooring and tile are quoted by the relevant trade. We keep them separate deliberately, because bundling them hides who is responsible for what.

Do I have to give my email to see the estimate?

No. The figure appears on the page as you build it, with nothing to fill in first. If you want it sent to you, or want us to price it properly, there is a form underneath, and the configuration you built is attached to it so we already know the scope before we call.

Want the Real Number?

The estimator gets you the range. A free in-home measure gets you the itemized quote.
